Nicholas Skinner

Director

Nick Skinner, Director of VEAB, has worked in the environmental sector for over twenty-two years with more than 19 years of international experience in more than 30 different countries in Europe, Asia and Africa. He is directly involved in the preparation of impact assessments as well as supervision of projects on the ground.

  • Draga Veselinovic (Serbian / Australian)

    International social safeguards consultant with more than 20 years experience of projects throughout Europe and Asia with a range of lenders. Specific area of focus – resettlement. Fluent in English, Russian, Serbian, Bosnian and Croatian.

  • Iuliia Pylnova (Ukrainian)

    Environmental specialist with extensive experience of USAID projects, including multi-year programs in Europe. Fluent in English, Russian and Ukrainian.

  • Dinu Cojocaru (Moldovan)

    Environmental specialist with more than 20 years experience in the energy and transport sectors. Fluent in English, Romanian and Russian.

  • Mariya Gritsina (Uzbek)

    Biodiversity specialist working for organisations such as UNDP/GEF and Flora and Fauna International. Contributed to over 60 scientific publications. Fluent in Russian and English.

  • Dr. Kai Schmidt-Soltau (German)

    Extensive experience as a social specialist on projects throughout the globe. 25+ years of experience working with almost every major miulti-lateral lender, including USAID. Fluent in German, English, Spanish and French.

  • Dr. Armine Simonyan (Armenian / Canadian)

    International environmental and social specialist with extensive experience of projects with a range of lenders. Prepares both resettlement plans and ESIA. Fluent in Armenian, English, Russian and French.

  • Manushaqe Jace (Albanian)

    Has more than 25 years of professional experience as senior environment and social expert performing environmental impact assessment on infrastructure construction and renewable energy projects. Fluent in Albanian, Romanian, Russian and English.

  • Pete Mackay (Australian)

    International biodiversity and climate change specialist with strong experience in Asia. Specific skills relating to climate change adaptation and mitigation for large infrastructure projects aligning with Paris Agreement.

  • Dr. Kate Meadows (British)

    25 years Environment & Social Safeguarding and Development specialising in participation for Gender and Social Inclusion, Monitoring, ESIAs, ESMPs and Resettlement. Fluent in English and French.
